Bigoora opens its pilot in the Fergana Valley

Until that date the app only served testers. Trips existed, bookings existed, but among people who knew exactly what to check. On 2 September the doors opened: anyone can search, book and travel.

Opening the whole region at once would have been more spectacular, and less honest. A route is only worth the number of drivers serving it: without them a passenger searches, finds nothing, and never comes back. We would rather have four busy routes than forty empty ones.

Qo‘qon was chosen as the starting point because the city is already a junction: you pass through it on the way to Tashkent, Fergana, Andijan or Namangan. A platform based there reaches the whole valley without having to set up in every city.

What comes next depends on drivers, not on a calendar. Each new route opens when enough drivers have committed to it for a passenger to find a departure the same day.
